I love this recipe for Homemade Automatic Dishwasher Detergent. It is so simple with only 3 ingredients! The essential oil will provide an additional disinfectant and give it an awesome aroma. I like to use either a citrus oil or Melaleuca oil for this recipe. You can pick up essential oils at most health food stores that are fine for this recipe.
I love to make my own dishwasher detergent because it all natural and non toxic. It is still a product that you need to keep out of children’s hands but it not something you have to be worried about producing toxic chemicals in your home. This is a great product to clean up for cheap. By making your own you will same money!
UPDATE: After you have made this recipe if you add a 1/2 cup white vinegar and mix it up you can put it into empty ice cube trays and make dishwasher tablets!
