LEGOLAND FL Review and Tips for a Fun Day with the Family!

Check out our LEGOLAND Florida Tips and Review. This fall we had the opportunity to travel to Orlando, FL before my 2nd open heart surgery.  We had the time of our lives!  We stayed in an Orlando Vacation Home that was near Disney World. We spent one day visiting LEGOLAND on our trip.  We had never been to LEGOLAND before, and this was someplace that Peyton has always dreamed of going.  It is a bucket list item for any LEGO fan that is for sure!

    LEGOLAND Florida Tips and Review:

Planning is the key!  I would suggest going to LEGOLAND during the weekday if at all possible. It is less crowded than on the weekend. Here are my tips for a great day at LEGOLAND.

Purchase tickets in advance.  You can order tickets online and save money!  There were people who didn't have advanced tickets and they paid a lot more than those who ordered online. LEGOLAND® Florida is open daily but is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday during specific periods. Please view the operating calendar before your visit. Toll and ticket booths open approximately 45 minutes prior to Park opening.  Parking is additional to your ticket price.

Consider a hotel package.  If you are not staying in a vacation home like we did, then you may want to consider a hotel package.  They are available online at LegoLand.com

Pack your lunch.  You can leave and re-enter.  By packing a cooler, you can save a TON of money.

Pack bottled water and snacks.  It is fine to bring in a soft side cooler or backpack.  They are really family friendly!

Wear sunscreen and pack sunscreen.  It is HOT and sunny (even in October when we were there).  Be sure you wear sunscreen and reapply.

Wear a hat and sunglasses.  It will help you stay cool and protect you against the sun.

Wear comfortable shoes.  There is a lot of walking at Sea World.  Be sure you have on comfortable shoes.

Trade and Collect Minifigures - This was a lot of fun for Peyton!

    • Bring or purchase a complete LEGO Minifigure
    • Approach a Model Citizen (LEGOLAND Employee) with a Minifigure you would like to trade
    • Ask to trade
    • The new Minifigure is yours to keep . . . or trade again and again!  Minifigures must be traded in complete form - head, body and legs. If accessories are included, you are in luck!

Pack Ponchos.  Often times in Florida you will experience a pop-up shower.  I always pack disposable ponchos in my back pack in case.

I had NO issue eating gluten free at LEGOLAND.  There were choices at many of the locations inside the park including snacks. I did pack my own which saved me a lot of time and money.

The new attraction is World of Chima. Peyton LOVED this! He and Tim rode the water ride on the way out but warning - you will get soaked! Their favorite part of the day was the time they spent in LEGO City. Here is a video.

There is also a water park but it was not open when we were there. We spent a total of 4 hours at LEGOLAND. If the water park had been open I would say we would have enjoyed that and our day more. We left because were rode every single ride and saw everything. It is definitely are park for younger children. I would say 10 and under and for LEGO fanatics.

I'm glad to hear that you had such a good time at the Legoland Florida Resort. It definitely has a lot of fun things to offer for the family and kids or should I say adult kids. My favorite ride has to be the Project X Roller Coaster, I love the first big drop. Thanks for the post.
