If you are looking for a fun party dessert for Halloween check out these fun Googly Eyed Monster Cupcakes.  This is the perfect sweet treat for a Halloween Party or Birthday Party.

    Googly Eyed Monster Cupcakes

All you need is marshmallows, cupcakes, icing, sprinkles, food coloring and a black edible marker. I love these and know my son will too!  They are inexpensive to make and each child can let their imagination run wild.  All you need to do is set out supplies and then let the kids create their very own Googly Eyed Monster Cupcake.

I would suggest that you place a table cloth down to protect your table and then in bowls set out a variety of sizes of marshmallows (get extra because they will get eaten as you work), also place other supplies in bowls and then let all the kids go wild.  You could have a contest for the scariest monster, funniest monster and most colorful monster.  The sky is the limit but only let the kids enter into one category.  Create a small judging rubric and it might help the kids with their design.   This would be loads of fun if you have a large group or entire class competing. Regardless it is sure to spark the imagination and be the edible craft that everyone will love creating.

    Supplies:

    • marshmallows
    • cupcakes
    • icing
    • sprinkles
    • food coloring
    • fruit leather
    • black edible marker
    • chocolate chips

    Directions:

Bake and ice the cupcakes in desired color.  Decorate the face with a variety of sizes of marshmallows.  Use additional icing to decorate with sprinkles if desired.  Use fruit leather to add to the addition of the design if desired.   For this design we chose to use a chocolate chip inverted and add fruit leather to make a bloody eye.  The sky is the limit though to use your creativity. I hope you enjoy this fun Googly Eyed Monster Cupcake.  It is sure to be a success at your next Halloween party.
