How To Make a Santa Hat Tulle Wreath - An easy homemade holiday decoration for the sport fanatic in your house!

Making a Santa hat tulle wreath is very simple to make. Such an inexpensive way to decorate your home. My friend made this wreath for her home and she used a Green Bay Packers Santa Hat that she got at the store, Christmas Tree Shops for only $1.99!

For this wreath you will need:

    • 50 yards of white tulle, cut to 15″ pieces
    • 12″ wreath form
    • 1 adult sized Santa hat
    • 1 scrap piece of ribbon
    • needle and thread
    • Hot glue gun
    • scissors
    • pen

Base the size of your wreath form on the Santa hat you use. I’d recommend taking your hat with you to look for wreaths, and seeing what size works best.

First, place the hat on your wreath and mark where it each side ends on the wreath. Then you’ll only have to tie your tulle around to those marks.

Start tying your 15″ white tulle strips around the wreath, from one mark to the other. A simple knot will do just fine.

Finally, use your glue gun to secure the hat onto the wreath. Glue both the sides. Take the leftover tulle strips, ball them up and stuff them into the hat for a little extra volume. Then glue the front of the hat and the back to the wreath to hold it all in.

To hang the wreath, the best thing to do is to simply stitch a piece of scrap ribbon to the back of the hat. You could try to hot glue this, but a needle and thread will make it a lot more sturdy, especially if you’re hanging it on a door that opens and shuts often.  This is perfect for the Sports Fanatic in your house!
