Enjoy this slow cooker chicken with sweet potatoes and green beans as a freezer meal and then simply thaw it and cook it when you are ready to eat it.

We really enjoyed this delicious paleo and Whole 30 compliant dinner that is also gluten free. If you are looking for a complete chicken supper that you can cook in your slow cooker this, is it!

Chicken with Sweet Potatoes and Green Beans Recipe is a delicious and complete freezer meal that you family will love.

I wasn't sure how I would enjoy the green beans, but they turned out great.   Best of all I put this into the crockpot in the morning and was gone all day.  When we came home after soccer the house smelled delicious and dinner was ready.

Chicken with Sweet Potatoes and Green Beans Recipe is a delicious and complete freezer meal that you family will love.

If you are not eating Whole 30 or Paleo, we thought the addition of corn bread would be an amazing accompaniment to this recipe. However, we were and were 100% satisfied without it.

Be sure that you invest in a good quality slow cooker.  Our favorite is this programmable cook and carry 6qt oval slow cooker.  You can adjust this recipe to feed your family using 4-6 pieces of meat.  I personally use 4 to feed my family of 3 with a leftover for lunch the next day.  I use 2 lbs. of chicken in my recipe but you can adjust between 4-6 cuts of chicken.

I hope your family enjoys this Slow Cooker Chicken with Sweet Potatoes and Green Beans meal as much as mine did!

Is there any reason I can't freeze the broths and sauces with these meals?

It is just too much for the bag. Best to add it at the time of cooking because the bag needs space to expand. 🙂

Oh no - it is 1 TBSP total of dried Spice Hound Adobe Seasoning (it is a blend of garlic, onion, oregano, cumin, black pepper)

Hey! Thank you so much for this recipe! It's my new favorite! I like to cook my food for the whole week so this past time I added a lot more veggies so it would last me a week (like to the top of the crockpot lol) Do you recommend adding anything extra? I wasn't sure! Thank you 🙂

This looks so yummy! One question: does it really have 1/2 cup olive oil? That seems like a ton.

I think so. Cooking the raw honey will reduce the benefits of using raw honey. I would consider adding it after cooking to keep them.

How is the chicken not dry as dust after 6 to 8 hrs? When I cook chicken in the crockpot on low to shred and freeze, it only takes a 2 to 3 hrs. I've left it longer and it was not good. Any thoughts?

Feel free to pull it out sooner if you desire. The olive oil and the chicken broth kept it nice and moist.

I once froze a bunch of green beans without first blanching them.... bad idea! They got black spots allover and had to be thrown out. Do the sauces make the difference, or do I need to cook them a bit first. Just a little hesitant after the first mess.
