This week in our 52 Weeks To Wellness Series we are bringing you one of our favorite snack recipes that is great for those cravings that just can't be beat.  When you are changing your eating habits, it can be really hard to give up your favorite junk food.  This Weight Watchers Chocolate Covered Cherry Popcorn is a fun and easy snack that you will love whipping up.  Not only does it conquer your snacking needs, it satisfies your sweet and chocolate craving in the process.

This recipe requires air popped popcorn.  While you could use a traditional microwave popcorn method, most varieties have added oils and flavors that increase your calorie count and alter the outcome of the recipe.  We prefer this Air Pop Popcorn Popper because it is small, simple and easy to use.  There are tons of varities out there you can choose from that include special bowls to use in your microwave. Just make sure that whatever method you are using doesn't require extra oil.

Weight Watchers Chocolate Covered Cherry Popcorn is a delicious treat!

A simple package of sugar free black cherry gelatin mix goes a long way when using in this recipe.  We keep a package in our pantry and once opened, simply seal the remainder into an airtight baggie for future use.  Since this is so simple, it's something that can be mixed up into larger batches and portioned to take to work or have as a special snack with your next movie.

Weight Watchers Chocolate Covered Cherry Popcorn is a delicious treat!

Smart Points: 3 Points per 1 cup.

While that may not see like a large amount of popcorn, the added flavor really makes it the prefect satisfying afternoon snack. This Weight Watchers Chocolate Covered Cherry Popcorn is going to become a favorite to bag and add in lunch boxes or have when others are eating that chocolate bar at break time.
