These Homemade Snickers Bars taste AMAZING! They are seriously the BEST dessert and my husband says they are better than the store bought version!

I love this Homemade DIY Snickers Bars Recipe!  I immediately knew that I had to make this candy for my husband.  They are amazing and there is seriously nothing better in my opinion than a Snickers Bar.

The combination of chocolate, nougat and caramel are out of this world!  It is a recipe that takes time but, in the end, it is worth it!  This would be a great dessert for any holiday or special occasion.  I also think it would make a great gift for someone.

I personally chose to use a double boiler for each step, but you can also use a saucepan or microwave. Be sure not to let your chocolate burn!

    • This recipe makes one 9×13 pan of Snickers Bars

    Bottom Chocolate Layer:

    • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
    • ¼ cup peanut butter

    Nougat Layer:

    • ¼ cup unsalted butter
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • ¼ cup evaporated milk
    • 1 ½ cups marshmallow fluff
    • ¼ cup peanut butter
    • 1 ½ cup salted peanuts chopped roughly chopped
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Caramel Layer:

    • 1 14- ounce bag of caramels
    • ¼ cup whipping cream

    Instructions

    • Bottom Layer: Thoroughly grease you baking pan with butter.
    • Melt ingredients together in a double boiler or microwave, then pour into the baking dish and spread until even. Let cool and harden completely. (I put in freezer while I worked on the next layer).
    • Nougat Layer: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add in sugar and milk, stirring until dissolved and bring to a boil. Let cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in fluff, peanut butter and vanilla, stirring until smooth. Turn off heat.
    • Pour over bottom chocolate layer. Sprinkle nuts on top. Let cool completely. (I placed in freezer while I worked on the caramel layer).
    • Caramel Layer: Combine ingredients in a saucepan over low heat. Let melt, stirring occasionally, until smooth – this took about 10 minutes.
    • Pour over nougat layer and let cool completely. (I placed in freezer while I worked on the Top Chocolate Layer.
    • Top Chocolate Layer: Melt ingredients together in a double boiler or microwave, then pour over caramel and spread until even. Let cool and harden completely.
    • Refrigerate overnight then cut as desired.
