Crockpot Ranch Chicken is going to be quickly added to our monthly menu plan because it is so delicious, and you only need 3 ingredients to make this easy chicken dinner recipe.  Yes, I said that correctly only 3 ingredients needed! Simply place your chicken tenders or breasts in the crock pot and add cream of chicken soup and ranch packet mixed with some water!  It's that simple! Best of all no one will realize how easy it is to make because it tastes so good.

    Crockpot Ranch Chicken

My husband and boys cannot wait until I make this again because it was that tasty! Best of all you can use any amount of chicken that you need to feed your family size - you can easily double or triple this recipe!  It is also great with pork chops too!! If you are going to double or triple this recipe, just be sure that your slow cooker has enough room in it to cook properly.  I used a 4 qt sized slow cooker for this recipe.

    Crockpot Ranch Chicken

You can also make this DIY Ranch Seasoning (Dairy Free) and DIY Cream of Chicken Soup if you want! When using the DIY Ranch Seasoning you use only 2 tablespoon of the mix.  By making your own you are able to control what ingredients you use while cooking.  If you are going to purchase your Ranch Seasoning, I suggest picking it up at a Warehouse Store like Sam's Club or COSTCO. It is great way to save money versus picking up the individual packets.

    Crockpot Ranch Chicken

I love to serve Crockpot Ranch Chicken with Old Fashioned Mashed Potatoes and Paula Deen's Corn Casserole. You can also serve with green beans and a bed of egg noodles. Whatever you family enjoys as an easy side will make this a meal that the whole family will love.

    Crockpot Ranch Chicken

Crockpot Ranch Chicken is easiest meal you will ever make! A family favorite.

I only had frozen pre-grilled chicken strips in the freezer, so I combined the soup, dry seasoning an water then poured it over the chicken in a skillet and heated on medium for about 6-8 minutes. Made some sides and dinner was served! It was yummy! Thanks for the recipe the gravy is delicious!

I'm confused. Do you or don't you use a ranch packet? The pictures and instructions say and show a ranch packet yet don't say anything about turning it to dressing, but you said "If you use a packet you have to turn it into the dressing."

I tried this today, and it was pretty good. Even my husband loved it. It was super simple and very good. I added a little bit of onion to it and it was very good. It was nice to just throw it in the crockpot and let it cook. We served it with a broccoli cheddar rice to give it some different flavor. I would definitely do this recipe again.

I'm confused. In the comments, one of the first few asks if you use dressing from the bottle and it states that you have to use the packet but prepare the dressing first. Then later you say no, don't use the bottle, you must use the packet. My question is, do you prepare the packet dressing and then put in or do you just add the packet of dressing?

No you don't make the packet into dressing first. You just mix the dry packet in with the cream of chicken or cream of mushroom and water. Then pour that mixture over the chicken. You can not use the bottled ranch. It's not the same thing.

I think the confusion is coming in that people think you are supposed to mix the dry ingredients to make a dressing. You just open the dry packet and mix it with the soup and water...pour over the chicken.

Making this right now... well, kind of. We're out of Ranch seasoning, so I'm using an Italian seasoning mix with the cream of mushroom... and since I'm using frozen chicken that tends to put off a lot of liquids, I opted out of adding the extra can of liquids. Hopefully it all turns out ok... Lol.

I read comments to find out if people like the dish and sometimes they add what they changed and liked a bit better to their taste. What a ton of confusion here! It really is simple ingredients and simple directions. I am going to prepare it anyway. I think the problem is all the extra information that really doesn't relate to the recipe. Dump these comments and the extra information and try again. It's way too negative for this to be a good go to recipe. By the way, I am using pork tenderloins and hope for a moist tasty meal.

Amazing recipe! It's cooking up right now. I used coconut milk instead of regular milk or water. We will see what happens. I placed my chicken breasts on a bed of carrots and peas. I also used thawed chicken breasts. I know sometimes that using frozen adds extra water. Thank you so much for sharing!

I made this the other day for my family. I put cubed/peeled potatoes in the bottom of my Crock-Pot with the chicken on top. Then used the sauce and drippings from the chicken to make mashed potatoes. I also added a quarter cup of flour to coat the chicken.
Potatoes turned out amazing! Chicken was a little dry for my taste. But my toddler liked dipping it in ranch dressing.
Next time I make it I will try the chicken on the bottom with potatoes on top.

I made this recipe today. We really liked it and will make again. I shredded the chicken and it turned out well. Next time I will add sauteed celery & onion, frozen peas and carrots near the end and keep on warm until I serve. It came out much like a deconstructed chicken pot pie, or a chicken-a-la king gravy/sauce. If I was eating carbs, I totally would have served over egg noodles or biscuits.

I noticed the recipe says 2 lbs of chicken breasts which should be about 8 breasts, but you told someone to double the recipe if she uses 6. So what was the appropriate amount of chicken for this recipe. I only ask because I was only going to use 4 chicken breasts ( 1 Lb) and I didn't want to overpower the recipe so was going to use 1/2 the ranch and soup mix, but then came across that comment. I am about to make it now and want to use appropriate ingredients.

I was looking forward to this and would have been my first time trying it. Before it finished I noticed that the milk had curdled. So disappointed. What I did different was I put it on high heat and your directions said one can of water or milk. I used half milk half water. I'm such a rookie in the kitchen. Thoughts? Was it the high heat?

We make this at least once monthly, it is so wonderfully simple and delicious. Makes for great packed lunches. I use 3-4 breasts since there's only two of us and throw in roughly chopped red potatoes and a bag of baby carrots. We love the spicy ranch packet in this recipe. I sprinkle a little on both sides of the chicken and then the rest goes into the mixture! So yummy, I'm super glad we found this recipe!

I added a bit of corn starch to thicken the sauce and more fresh black pepper! I also pan fried some green beans in coconut oil and cloves of garlic and a salad with crusty bread. Perfect meal and great leftovers! Thank you!
